Streamlining Your Core Business Processes
Discover strategies to streamline your business processes and enhance productivity.

Most process problems are not caused by people working slowly. They are caused by work waiting — for an approval, for a number, for someone to notice it has arrived.
Before changing any tooling, it is worth mapping where a typical piece of work actually stops. The delays are usually concentrated in two or three handovers rather than spread evenly across the process.
Find the waiting, not the effort
Time an order, a quote or an invoice from the moment it arrives to the moment it is finished, and separate the time somebody was working on it from the time it sat still. The second number is almost always the larger one, and it is the one that responds to better systems.
- Approvals that route automatically to whoever is available
- Status that is visible without asking for it
- Data entered once, at the point it is first known
None of this requires replacing every system at once. It requires removing the pauses that nobody owns.
